This approach is based on writings of Charlotte Mason, an educator from Great Britain. She believed that children should be involved in a broad spectrum of real-life experiences, respected as persons and be allowed to read "living books". There is an emphasis on the need to trust children and advocates the use of high-quality literature, art and music in curriculum.
